As things continue to change in my life, I struggle more and more with how to move forward. As my kids get older and are living their own lives it becomes even more complicated. I know so many people can relate. I have plans and goals for myself, but how do I keep my brain on track? That is the difficult part for me because…..squirrel!!!

You’re Strong, You’ve Got This

You’re strong, you’ve got this.

In late 2016 I made a major change in my life. Removing something that was turning me into a person that I did not want to be.  It wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it.

The below post was written shortly before I walked away from one of the most toxic situations I have ever experienced. I saved it so that if I ever questioned the decision I made, I could remember how I felt. Regardless of the “logical” pros and cons, how I felt MATTERS. I MATTER.

I’m sharing it now because I want you to know – if you are EVER in a situation that makes you feel like this (whether it’s a relationship a job or anything else), find a way to GET OUT. It’s worth it. You deserve it. You’ve got this.

There are so many people I wish would take this quote to heart.  Especially this year, as we watch people argue over how bad “other” people are, and how much “better” their own opinions are, rather than just making an effort themselves, to do the RIGHT THING, always.

No, you cannot force other people to believe the same as you, nor can you force them to do what you consider the “right thing”.  However, it is always within your power to lead by example.  Make it a good one.
