The Creative Prompt for October is UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE. Don’t think too deep about this one, it’s not supposed to be fancy or any specific type of “unique”. It’s honestly just meant as a trigger to give things a second, third or even fourth look or thought before being finished with them as subjects.

Use objects to create something you didn’t think they could be. If you have “finished” photographing a subject, continue – going above, below, behind. Find a natural “frame”, or some blurry foreground to give it a different perspective. Or even just use a different tool than you normally do.

DETAILS will be the Creative Prompt for September. As beautiful as things are when we see them, they are even more stunning when we look closer.

I love Macro photography like this image of a damselfly taken at my MILs pond! But details could also be patterns you find, details in architecture or any other beauty that is sometimes overlooked.

The Creative prompt for August is REFLECTIONS. This can be so much fun, whether you find them in a mirror, or a window, or a puddle – it’s one of my favorites.

Or perhaps rather than taking the prompt literally, you can interpret and create with another type of “Reflection” in mind.

The July Creative prompt is SHADOWS. I keep meaning to get more creative with shadows, and then I keep not doing it so I’m hoping that a month long creative prompt will get my ass in gear. If nothing else I will hopefully have my eyes open this month.

The creative prompt for June is HANDS. I honestly have no idea how I’m going to approach this for an entire month – the only photo I have ever taken of hands that I actually like is the one in this post. It is my youngest and my Father in Law.

That being said, it is one of my favorite photos ever, so maybe I need to try harder to look at hands in a new light. Or maybe I need to get creative and interpret this prompt in a different way. We’ll see how it goes.
